To create our Swim Sungas we went back to the roots and then applied some of our signature tweaks to it. The starting point was the pattern of an original Brazilian sunga from the 90s, as based on the MMA shorts of jiu-jitsu fighters that back in the day were adapted to use in the water for the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

Then we started cutting and accentuating some of the curved lines to spice up its sexiness factor, and to bring it to some middle ground between the shape of our acclaimed Swim Briefs and the form of our new square-cut Swim Trunks. Still, we kept the construction tight around the legs while easy around the waist, to maintain the essence of the Brazilian Men’s Sunga. And true to the original, we kept the silhouette plain and free of any accents, pockets, or accessories.

The result is the Swim Sunga now ready to be rocked from sand to poolside.
